“Solidarity is love structured in action”
– Jessica Beckerman
To me, success is deeply tied to the amount of passion you feel for your daily life and how far you are able to go to explore the beauty of this world. After college I set out to dedicate my life to global health and advocating for equity in an inequitable world. I want to learn what it really means to be an advocate, a neighbor, and a human being. I want to understand and experience what it means to live in solidarity with those who were not lucky enough to share my undeserving privilege.
I believe in a grassroots approach to development and partnerships. After experiencing a much larger humanitarian organization, I am ready to go back home to some good ol’ community-based dialogue and social change from the ground up. I am ready to follow my passion relentlessly to come out on the other side with a deeper understanding of the beautiful complexity and interdependency of humanity. That is how we will feed this social movement for global health equity.
“There will be no equity without solidarity. There will be no justice without a social movement.”
- Dr. Joia Mukherjee
